Important Dates

  • Tuesday, December 6th
    • Chorus students pick up Poinsettias sold after school.   From 4pm – 7pm.   A sign up genius will be published for parents to sign up for pick up times.   All plants must be picked up on Tuesday, 12/6. Pick up will be in the car pool lane at the front of the school.
  • Wednesday, December 14th
    • Mandatory after school Chorus concert rehearsal – 2:30 – 5:30 Please make plans to pick up your child in front of the school at 5:30.
  • Thursday, December 15th
    • Chorus Concert Students must arrive no later than 5:45 PM. for the performance. The doors will open for admission at no later than 6:45 for open seating. Tickets to the concert are $3 per person. You may purchase them on line through Charms. Students should plan to go home after school and come dressed for the concert. If your child has to stay at after school until the concert, you need to let Ms. Holcombe know.
  • Friday, December 16th
    • Christmas Caroling and Holiday party for chorus students. We have some exciting and fun things coming up on the evening ofDecember 16th. We have organized a caroling outing followed by a chorus holiday party.  In order to complete our plans, we need to have an idea of how many students we are planning for.

 Current Fundraisers

The Chorus has extended the on-line fundraising with the Yankee Candle and Southern Sheets fundraisers through the month of November.  Both fundraisers will remain active until Wednesday December 7th.

Yankee Candle

On-line Sheet Sales
Similar to Yankee Candle, Southern Sheets has created an on-line option for fundraising.  The individual student profit using this method is $10 per sheet set and $2 per extra pillow case set.  Shipping is a flat $9 per order (regardless of the number of sets ordered), and items are shipped directly to the customer.

Cyber Monday Special – On Cyber Monday (11/28), shipping will be just $1 regardless of the number of items ordered.

Follow these instructions to set up an account with Southern Sheets to continue selling sheets on-line.

  • Using a web browser, go to
  • Click the Seller Registration link in the upper right corner of the page
  • Fill in the required information and click the Seller Registration button.
  • Now click the MY FUNDRAISER link in the upper left corner of the page to return to the main AFHS page.
  • Your name should now appear in the list of Sellers.  Click on it to go to your personal sales page.
  • Once you are on your page, copy the URL from the address bar of your browser.  This is your personal sales URL.  Paste it into e-mails to give your potential customers!
